Better late than never, I suppose, but the idea that traditional cleaners are heavily toxic has finally made the mainstream news! Because of this, and my recent up-tick in sharing, I couldn’t be more excited to show you our cleaning products, and give you ideas to incorporate them into your own routines!

Over the past several years, I have completely eliminated harmful or questionable products from our home. Popular cleaning products were some of the first to go from our cabinets. Determined to find an effective natural cleaner that left a pleasant smell was a bit of a challenge. I tried diluted vinegar, baking soda, borax, and castile soap! None of them were exactly what I was looking for! I still use these on occasion; vinegar, baking soda, and borax are all rather effective and cheap! They just really don’t smell that great or at all in some cases! Nevertheless, I plugged along with these, as I wasn’t interested in using the other popular products available at that time.

Eventually, Young Living came out with a cleaning line. As with other products I chose against, I avoided using their cleaners for quite awhile since the cost seemed a bit high. It was when I had extra ER points in my account (ask me how) that I decided to use these in exchange for the Thieves Ultra-Concentrated Cleaner. Let me tell you…I use it everywhere. I dilute it in a bottle for my counters, bathrooms, windows, and toys. I add it to my water in my floor steamer. I sometimes throw it into my very stinky, boy laundry. It is used all over here. Thieves Cleaner combines powerful cleaning agents clove, cinnamon, rosemary, lemon, and eucalyptus alongside plant and mineral-based agents for a powerful, germ-free clean! Ahhh. Not kidding. I’m feeling accomplished and relaxed just talking about it!

To use for general cleaning, I add one cap-full of Thieves Ultra-Concentrated Cleaner to a 32 ounce bottle of water. This concentrated bottle here has lasted me about a year now. It appears that I buy one about yearly, but use it everywhere and for everything! Cost: $22. For a whole year. Did I mention that? And it is safe to use as directed!
