Hello Essential Oil Connoisseurs and Curious Readers!
It is such a busy week for everyone! Like you, I don’t have a lot of time for much extra this time of year, but wanted to drop my propellant-free dusting spray recipe for you to utilize this holiday season if you so choose!
Like store-bought cleaners, essential oils add shine and offer protection for your home’s wood items.
However unlike my homemade cleaner, store-bought cleaners often contain propellants, which account for some of the product’s weight and cost; and concentrated solvents, which are commonly added to break down the soil on dirty items. Propellants and solvents have potential to be a danger, therefore I choose not to use them in my home regularly.
Since cleaning is often commonplace this time of year, step by step instructions for my dusting spray are below or in the video tutorial! My deep cleaning recipe for mirrors, bathrooms, and more can be found here.
Thanks for watching!
Dusting with Lemon Oil:
1. Get a Misto! You can find these at Target or Big Lots.
2. In a measuring cup, add 1/4 c. olive or liquid coconut oil, 1 Tbsp. vinegar, and 5-10 drops of lemon essential oil. You may also add cedarwood or orange essential oil if you’d like a more robust smell.
3. Shake, pump, and dust away!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
